BleedFest Invading Tinseltown!

Put together by writer/director/producer/actor/all around kickass person Elisabeth Fies, Bleedfest is an all day film fest spotlighting amazing genre films directed by women. If you are in the LA area or can make the trek from surrounding inhabitations, I highly encourage you to attend this Sunday. You'll be supporting some truly incredible and original independent horror films. Not to mention, the participants involved are genuinely good people.

A blurb along with a rundown of the day's festivities is as follows:

'Come support AMAZING genre films by lady directors! If you don't live in LA, please pass this invite on to cool people who do!! Only $10 for all day admission! Free parking on side streets. There will be DVD giveaways as well as opportunities to meet the filmmakers and support them by purchasing DVDs and merchandise.'

The Soskas told me they can't wait to attend this fest. Also, they're gonna be at Viscera on Saturday. It's a weekend of feminine horror in L.A.!

Nice Theron! Hope it's a roundhouse kick landing squarely on the mouthface success.

yeah see now, the title of that film festival, "bleed fest" is just about the most awesome title for a festival evah.

all feminist crazy with a slightly vengeant psychotic tinge. PERFECT! considering it's a horror film festival. Horror films made by women.

too bad I cannot attend such an event.

someday maybe :)

If you want a crowd, why make it so hard to know WHERE your event is ocurring? No info in body-text. Only reference is the unreadable artwork scrunched into the corner.

Too bad. I have in my 3D Video Task Force, a femme producer who just shot a horror indie in Canada.

Forwarding your link, but last-minute notice with no location info will probably reach her too late.

Best wishes for good work, to all involved.

Wow dude, relax. Is it too hard to click on the link that will take you to the film fest's website? Sorry for not including the actual address in the body copy but the link is there.

And as for the 'last minute notice', this is a first time event and the website was still under construction. I just wanted to give a plug to an event featuring some hardworking filmmakers. As of this posting, the films had already been finalized. This wasn't a request to submit films but rather for horror fans in the area to go out in support of the event.

Best of luck in gaining exposure with the film you mentioned.
